It sounds like both the Chargers and Broncos may be interested in interviewing our Special Teams Coordinator Dave Toub.
With the way the Chiefs special teams has been playing this shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Not many make the leap from Special teams directly to Head Coach. John Harbaugh is the only one I can think of that went directly from Special Teams to Head Coach. Bill Belichick started as special teams and then was a defensive coordinator for a number of years before becoming head coach in 1996.

Bill, remember Frank Ganz? He was the KC HC from 87-88 and he was our special tems coordinator before that

Good point! I remember the name but not much about him. Not many can successfully pull off the transition without having a stop as an Offensive or Defensive coordinator. Do you think Dave will be able to make the transition successfully if either of those teams offer him the Head Coach position?
